Every commission begins as a conversation and ends as a place people inhabit. Here is how the work moves through the studio in between.
Listening first
Before we sketch anything, we spend time understanding how a client lives or works. The brief on paper is rarely the whole story; the real one emerges in conversation, in walking the site, in noticing the habits a building will need to hold.
Testing ideas quickly and cheaply
Early design is deliberately rough — sketches, study models, fast options that can be argued with and thrown away. It is far cheaper to discover a problem in a model than in concrete, so we make the difficult decisions early, while they are still easy to change.
Carrying the idea to completion
Once a direction is agreed, the work becomes about protection: keeping the original idea intact through drawings, approvals, costing and construction. The studio's role does not end at planning. It ends when the client is standing in the finished space.
